Week 20: Living for God’s Glory

Theme Verse:

“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
— 1 Corinthians 10:31 (NIV)

Welcome & Intentional Start

Let’s start with a quiet moment to set our focus on God's greatness and purpose for our lives.

Opening Prayer:
Lord, we want our lives to reflect Your goodness and bring You glory. Help us to honor You in the big things and in the everyday moments. Teach us to live with intention and joy as we serve You in all that we do. In Jesus' name, amen.

Worship

Worship with songs and Scripture that magnify the glory of God:

  • “Be Glorified” – Chris Tomlin

  • “Build My Life” – Pat Barrett

  • Psalm 115:1 – "Not to us, Lord, not to us but to Your name be the glory..."

Use this time to lift your heart and align your focus on honoring God.

Scripture Reading

Begin with the theme verse, 1 Corinthians 10:31.
For deeper context, read 1 Corinthians 10:23–31, where Paul speaks about freedom, responsibility, and putting others before ourselves—all to bring glory to God.

Discussion & Reflection

Reflect or discuss the following:

  1. What does it mean to live for God’s glory in your daily life?

  2. Are there areas where you find it hard to connect your actions to God’s glory?

  3. How can you shift your perspective to make even simple things acts of worship?

Prayer Time

Ask God to help you live intentionally and reflect His glory in all you do.

Prayer Prompts:

  • Thank God for the opportunities to glorify Him through your everyday life.

  • Confess any areas where your actions have been focused more on self than on God.

  • Ask for a heart that desires to honor Him in all things.

Breaking Bread (Optional)

If sharing communion this week:

Let the bread and cup remind you of Jesus' ultimate obedience and sacrifice. He lived—and died—for the glory of God. As you partake, renew your own commitment to live fully for Him.

Challenge for the Week

Pick one daily routine—eating, working, cleaning, caring for others—and turn it into worship.

Each day, declare:
“Lord, be glorified in everything I do today.”

Look for ways to reflect His goodness in even the smallest tasks.

Closing Thought

“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
— Matthew 5:16

This week, may your life be a radiant reflection of God's glory, pointing others to His goodness in all you do.
