Week 17: God’s Workmanship

Theme Verse:

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
— Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)

Welcome & Intentional Start

Let’s begin by remembering who we are and whose we are.

Opening Prayer:
Creator God, thank You for forming us with purpose and love. Remind us today that we are Your workmanship—intentionally made and uniquely equipped for the work You've planned for us. Stir our hearts to walk in that purpose with joy. In Jesus' name, amen.

Worship

Celebrate God's design and purpose with these songs and Scripture:

  • “Canvas and Clay” – Pat Barrett

  • Psalm 139:13–14 – "For You created my inmost being... I am fearfully and wonderfully made."

Worship the One who designed you with care and called you with intention.

Scripture Reading

Start with the theme verse, Ephesians 2:10.
To better understand your identity in Christ, read Ephesians 2:1–10, which speaks of God's grace, salvation, and purpose for our lives.

  1. What does it mean to you to be God’s handiwork?

  2. Can you think of a time when you felt clearly used by God to do something good?

  3. What gifts or passions has God given you that reflect His purpose in your life?

Prayer Time

Let your prayer be a moment of surrender and openness to God's plan.

  • Thank God for how He made you and the purpose He's given you.

  • Ask for wisdom to recognize the good works He's placed in your path.

  • Pray for courage to step out in faith and serve where He leads.

After you begin questioning and testing your beliefs, it helps to have a repeatable framework to guide you. Sometimes we hold onto things because they’re familiar, not because they’re biblical.
