Week 18: Using Your Gifts

Theme Verse:

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others.”
— 1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)

Welcome & Intentional Start

Let’s open our hearts to how God has uniquely equipped each of us to serve.

Opening Prayer:
Lord, thank You for giving us gifts and talents to be used for Your glory. Help us recognize those gifts and use them well—not for our own praise, but to serve and love others. Show us how we can make a difference right where we are. In Jesus' name, amen.

Worship

Let these songs and Scripture help you reflect on God's purpose for your life:

  • “Do Something” – Matthew West

  • Romans 12:6–8 – "We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us..."

Worship the Giver of every good and perfect gift.

Scripture Reading

Begin with the theme verse, 1 Peter 4:10.
Then read 1 Peter 4:7–11, which emphasizes living for God, loving others deeply, and using our gifts to serve with strength and grace.

Discussion & Reflection

Use these prompts to reflect or discuss:

  1. What gifts or talents do you believe God has given you?

  2. How are you currently using them to serve others?

  3. Is there a way God may be calling you to step out and use your gifts in a new or deeper way?

Prayer Time

Invite God to affirm and activate your gifts.

  • Thank God for the specific abilities and passions He’s given you.

  • Ask for clarity and courage to use your gifts where they’re needed.

  • Pray for someone you can bless or serve this week.

Challenge for the Week

Use one of your gifts intentionally this week to bless someone else.

Each day, say:
“Lord, help me use my gifts for Your glory today.”

Write down one act of service you did each day, no matter how small.

“Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.”
— 1 Corinthians 12:7
